Hi, I'm Bonnie Rae – Certified Firearms Instructor and Founder of Bonnie’s Bullets and Barrels.

What began as a personal curiosity quickly grew into a true passion. I was raised in a household that feared guns- not out of experience, but because we simply didn’t understand them. Ironically, we owned a full-size gun safe… stocked with everything but firearms!

It wasn’t until I went off to college and faced the world on my own that I realized just how important it was to learn how to protect myself. That experience opened my eyes to the critical role education and awareness play in staying safe in everyday life.

I still remember the first time I walked into a gun range- unsure, intimidated, and not knowing where to start. What stood out even more was the absence of women I could turn to for advice or support. That feeling of isolation helped shape my mission: to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where women- and anyone, regardless of background or experience- can learn, grow, and feel truly empowered.

As women, we carry incredible strength, but we’re rarely taught how to harness it when it comes to personal safety and self-defense. My goal is to help you build real-world confidence, develop practical skills, and become more aware, capable, and secure in your everyday life.
